Sharing The First Artist Profile: Daniel Brandt

Exploring the Intersection of Art and Technology with Kris Krüg

Hello innovative minds and creative souls;

I hope you’re thriving in yer creative endeavours. I'm excited to share updates from my time so far in the Google Launch Lab, where we've been exploring the significance of qualitative interviews in understanding our audience's needs. Inspired by this, I'm embarking on a mission to connect with you, the friends and colleagues that make up this network… to better understand this unique moment of change in the worlds of technology and creativity.

I'll be publishing a series of profiles that highlight the diverse range of creators who are pushing the boundaries of art and technology. Not just showcase their work, but also delving into their creative processes, challenges, and inspirations. Why the fuck do you do what you do anyways? How is it changing? What is important to you? Where are we going?!?

Our first feature is on Daniel Brandt, a master ‘wood butcher’, carpenter, designer, and craftsman. His story is first of a several I’ll be rolling out this week.

I'm passionate about community engagement, and I want to include your voices and stories in this project. If you're interested in sharing your experiences and how the evolving landscape of tech and art impacts your work, please reply to this email. I'd be honored to feature your story in an upcoming profile.

As I reach the halfway mark of the eight-week Google Lab, I'm filled with anticipation for the learning and connections ahead. Thank you for being part of this adventure and for your unwavering support.

Warm regards,

P.S. Know someone who's doing innovative work at the intersection of art and technology? I'd love to hear about them! Pls send me a recommendation for my next interview or profile feature.
